1031 Exchange Basics

If you own commercial/industrial property, a method to help increase your portfolio is to utilize a 1031 Exchange to trade your current buildings. In general, a 1031 Exchange allows you defer capital gains assessments on your investment property by reinvesting sales proceeds into a new property.
